Generalized Hypergeometric Functions and Associated Families of k-Uniformly Convex and k-Starlike Functions

In this lecture, we aim at presenting a certain linear operator which is defined by means of the Hadamard product (or convolution) with a generalized hypergeometric function and then investigating its various mapping as well as inclusion properties involving such subclasses of analytic and univalent functions as (for example) k-uniformly convex functions and k-starlike functions. Relevant connections of the definitions and results presented in this lecture with those in several earlier and recent works on the subject are also pointed out. 2000 Mathematical Subject Classification: Primary 30C45, 33C20; Secondary 30C50.

Integral Means for Uniformly Convex and Starlike Functions Associated with Generalized Hypergeometric Functions
Making use of the generalized hypergeometric functions, we introduce some generalized class of k−uniformly convex and starlike functions and for this class, we settle the Silverman’s conjecture for the integral means inequality. In particular, we obtain integral means inequalities for various classes of uniformly convex and uniformly starlike functions in the unit disc.

In terms of Wright generalized hypergeometric function we define a class of analytic functions. The class generalize well known classes of k-starlike functions and k-uniformly convex functions. Necessary and sufficient coefficient bounds are given for functions in this class. Further distortion bounds, extreme points and results on partial sums are investigated.
